i have a 5 speed manual 2001 EM2 it has recently gone stiff changing gear dropping done from 4th to 3rd. Has anyone any ideas of this problem before i take it to a main dealer.

I had the same problem ... actually it goes away and comes back every 6 months or an year .... Try changing your transmission fluid. u have an 01 so im guessing ur definitely above 40kmiles ... definitely change ur tranny fluid wih Honda genuine manual transmisson fluid.

Honda Fluid sucks, atleast for K Series Transmissions.

Try Amsoil MTF Syncromesh 5w-30

In the end I took it to honda main dealer, something stuck in the ball socket at end of gear stick. £65.00. Not a bad price and it now goes in gear really smooth.
