Re: newbie here......popping noise

no, it just a loud POP everytime i change the position of the wheel, for example if im backing out of the driveway and then put it in 1st gear as soon as i let the clutch go and give it gas and the wheels begin to go forward it pops. it sounds as they adjust themselves or something it also does it everytime i make a comlete left or right turn, not much on yields and stuff like that.

Re: newbie here......popping noise

it's one of your axles or halfshaft. if it's doing it when you take off, your inner CV joint is probably bad. if it does it when you turn, outer CV joint. you're better off buying new axles because newer cars don't really have CV joints that are easily replaced like older cars. you can get lifetime axles/halfshafts at advance or auto zone for just over 100 bucks, without core charge, so make sure you take your old one in.

Re: newbie here......popping noise

It could also be the strut bearing plates. do you have lowering springs or coilovers on stock struts? in 02 honda did put out a TSB on a poping noise comming from the front when turring. it happen to be to thick of paint in the strut tower. as funny as that sounds its true. when turring it made a popping noise. to fix the problem the sruts were to be removed and the exseise sp* paint had to be removed or ground out.
