The problem is that while im driving if i dont have my lights on my battery light goes on. It doesnt stay on is turns on for a few seconds then shuts off. I have already replaced the altenator,belts,battery,spark plugs+wires,distributor cap and rotors and checked all my fuses. When i drive without my lights on my rpms go almost down to 0 when i come to a stop. And the car lags in power. If you can think of anything that i can do or try let me know. Thanks I seriously need help on this its been going on for about 3 months

did you buy new or rebuild alternator and from where?
a lot of times you can get defective ones right out of a box.

I bought it form autozone. and i had them test it since i know someone who works there. the first one failed but the other past.

Hmmmm almost sounds like a problem i was having. I would have to jump my car every time i went to start it, and the battery wouldnt hold a charge, so i replaced the battery(wasted like 50 bucks doin that), still had the problem, come to find out...my negative battery cable was faulty. I felt so dumb, but if you replaced all the wires, the battery, the alternator and everything i have no clue what it could be. Maybe something is draining your battery to an extreme? Sorry, wish i could help ya man.

Just in case anyone else is having this issue. It turned out to be my altenator again. This time is was overcharging my battery and causing it to get hot. Thanks everyone for all there advice
