Son of a monkeys unlce!

swear if its not one thing its another! Im hoping its just my slave cylinder but i don't know .. I was driving to work and went to down shift, low and behold my clutch just sank to the floor and stayed there. I was like SON OF A B****! so i ended up rev matching to park... Then i didn't want to call a tow truck to come home so i did the same thing home and ran stop signs after red lights cause i had no choice if i stopped moving i had to push the car to go. But Good thing i have the next 2 days off.

Leaning towards the clutch master cylender since its attached to the pedal from the looks of things:

fluid goes no where, and pedal stays on floor unless i manually pump it, then i get a suction sound.

Re: Son of a monkeys unlce!

do the obvious... check all the fittings for bubbles and make sure the lines dont have any holes. After that, you'll have to start checking cylinder seals....
If you hear sucking, then you've definitely got air coming into the system. If you can, disconnect the line from the CMC and pressurize it.... if you have continuity from there, then you know thats the problem. If its not, then do the same thing from the slave cylinder end.

Re: Son of a monkeys unlce!

Find the female version of the clutch line fitting, make a line and hook it up to a pump or compressor. Shouldnt take too much pressure to show a leak.

Re: Son of a monkeys unlce!

tried it, oh bad news.... then i was like crap to verify what i did i took it in...

So the Clutch master cylinder & Slave Cylinder BOTH went out... they cant get the parts till Thursday woooO! Some how with one mash of a peddle i blew all the seals

I was bleeding it, and started coming out the slave, then out the master. I was like crap what the heck.. now im just baffled as to how i did um both in at the same time.. I mean im only running a ACT HDSS Clutch and pressure plate.
