Brake Pedal Click

I have an annoying brake pedal click in my '05. It doesn't happen everytime, but occasionally, when driving in the city, the pedal will click when it is first depressed.

Anybody have any clue's what it might be?

I noticed this on two other civic's I test drove. I assume it's a pretty common problem.

Just wondering if there is anything obtruding in the path of the assembly or if there is something more mechanical involved.

mine does that to and i have 93k miles on them. i think it just needs some brake pad lubricant to put in between the pad and the caliper bracket. or atleast i hope so. but brakes work just fine and handles well. so not worried.

This is definetly coming from inside. I thought at first it might have been the grips on my shoe sliding off, but it happens with different shoes (weird I know).

It seems like it is just something that the pedal may be catching on, possible the carpet. But then again, im new to Honda's. Just thought some people may have this too since It happened on a couple of others I drove.

It has something to do with the position of the brake switch. ( my 05 does it as well ) I think it is a simple fix (change position of switch)

marcuse will become famous soon enough
lift your center console off than watch what happens when you push the pedal. The click is not abnormal.
