Keeps shootin fuse....

Well i was going home the other night and my dashlights went out. So when i got home i pulled the cluster out because i figured it shot some bulbs, but they were all fine. Then i checked the fuse and it was blown. Changed it, and before i headed to the basketball game it shot once again, changed it. Got to the game shot while i was pullin into the lot, changed it. Got all the way back into my home town it shot again, went to the bank and changed it. Then shot again. This moring put a bigger fuse in and it shot before i got out of the drive way. I know its got to be a wire exposed or something so where do i start?

Which fuse is blowing ??
Is the dimmer lead from an aftermarket stereo tied into the dash lamps circuit ?

Putting in a larger fuse is not a good idea.

darklegacy540 is on a distinguished road
I've never blown a fuse from hooking up the dimmer and/or illumination wire on aftermarket head units and probably installed a thousand of them. I've read different posts from people saying that their fuse blew from that.. But whatever.
Yeah, Craig is right, NEVER EVER install a larger fuse. You can start an electrical fire doing that.

Do you have any aftermarket accessories in your car?

twinbo is an unknown quantity at this point
You may have a loose wire that is grounding on something and shorting the circuit. I am having the same problems with a Protege with an engine swap where this keeps happening.
