I recently got a new control arm for the front left of my 01 Civic EX.. Now when I turn to the extreme left or right, I hear a sound like it is hitting something from underneath the car.. Also makes this sound when I hit a big bump/pothole etc... It NEVER made this sound so Im sure its the aftermarket part.. Could it be its just a different size than the original one?

hmm could it be a worn out axle? how many miles you got on ur car?

Hey you guys, I have a similar problem. Especially, when going over a speed bump or turning in and out of our driveway. It's a clunking and popping sound on the return of the shock/strut. What do you guys think? We just bought this car for our 16 year old and its a 2002 EX with 86,000 miles. Thanks

It's the perch that the spring sits in on the stut. Honda replaced mine 3 times before the noise went away. They finally replace the whole strut assembly. Each time they went to take the spring out of the strut they could never get it right. I think the spring is moving inside it's perch hence the pop sound.

i have the same problem i have a 2003 coupe. i have tokico blues and skunk2 coilovers droped about 2inches. theres always been a knocking sound when i turn. it wont go away. wheelworks told me i need like a bushing or something. they said they installed it perfect and nothing is wrong other then just the clickin noise. does anyone know where i can find it?

they are right it is the lower control arm bushing just go get it replaced and yo will be happy again!
