well heres the story, had an engine fire about 3 mos back, (Caused by intake being grounded to starter), anyway, kept having 02 sensor problems, repaced it twice, kept saying low voltage. anyway, took it to dealership, and found out that it was the wiring harness, it had been damaged by the fire, and now the dealership is saying that the whole harness has to be replaced, and im hoping it is going to be covered by my insurance, so has anyone ever heard of this type of thing happening??? and how hard would it be to replace the harness, alldata says 4.3 hours...

Rep Power: 428 well it makes since, if you had an engine fire then I see how the wiring can become melted and what not. To replace the engine harness shouldnt be that hard. remember though you need to undo all of the connecters in the engine bay and then disconnect the harness from the ecm and pull the wires through the firewall. And 4.3 hours may be what warrany charges. If it was me and I worked at honda, I would charge about 7 or 8 hours labor.

Rep Power: 267 Guess its time to throw away that APC Intake...
If you know how to work on cars do it yourself otherwise I'd say let Honda deal with it. 4.3 hrs sounds reasonable but thats not a quote from Honda.
