trying to peel out problem

ok so over here it started raining and its easy to do a burnout with a manual, but when i try to do a burnout or whatever in the rain it sometimes like, i push the gas pedal and let go of clutch like normal but i push the gas pedal till about 5k rpms and the wheels dont spin and the clutch is complety out. then i put it into 2nd gear then they start spinning????

whey is this? this is my first time dring a stick in the rain/ been drivng a stick since april tho

Bwuahah this site hit the *******. What is the point of doing burnouts unless you are at the strip about to race? I mean yes do burnouts, but I also have a WRX and can spin all 4 wheels in the rain.

my auto can burn out in the rain... sometimes even in the dust or when it bounces while im pulling out of parking lots...

you have a stock civic.. stop trying to burnout.... all yer gunna do is break something.. which well... sounds like a good idea cuz it will keep you from doing something stupid and killing someone else...

so go for it... yer just not stomping the gas hard enough.. jump off the clutch the second you think you have yer car in gear and stomp the gas like never before.. do it 50+ times a day... and when you start yer car be sure to rev the hell out of it.. that will store up power in yer engine and help you drive faster for the rest of the day... its sorta like holding the "B" button do run faster...

Actually tapping the "B" button is more accurate. Just floor it and it will sound like you are tapping the "B" button, make sure you are bouncing it off the rev limiter then VTECH will kick in and make like over 200 whp.

kill somebody from peeling out thats funny, i dont think that happens when your out in the cuts where i do peel out, but if ur in the city and do then peel out yeah there is a chance of killing some if you dont know how to controll your own car, or getting caught by the pigs and getting f*ck over by them.

as you can see in the dyno sheet below, at about 5000 rpm your vtak should kick in. thats the optimum range for burnout magnitude. when the vtak kicks in, watch out. you may blow your tires, then blast into outer space.

just keep practicing it takes alot of skill to do a proper burnout. maybe try those mcdonalds trays under your tire like training wheels until you learn how.

Actually. An old buddy of mine got killed doing a burnout. He was on a public road, not a highway, and burned out into the middle of the 1 way stop and a car slammed right into him.

Don't be a moron, don't burnout. You know you can get tickets for that ****, right? It's called excessive acceleration.

im not trying to be rude or anything, but doing burnouts is pointless, all it does is toast ut clutch, engine and tires. to me all that stuff is to much to just ruin, and i get discounts on all that stuff. so if u wanna do burnouts and ruin car go ahead, but dont complain to us when your car doesnt work right (will burn out in 2nd but not 1st)

Civic = not for burn out
Please dont do it, aside from hurting your car and making a bad name for Civic drivers, you can potentially hurt yourself..... ESPECIALLY since your not experienced in it and planning to do it in the rain.
I dont think there are any "burn out pros" here. Most ppl love their cars and dont have a ton of $$$ to spend on tires.

Ya, when you buy tires you don't burn out as much. I use to have people telling me so stop at the street races and do a burn out, it's like, no thanks, unless i'm on my track tires then I don't give a damn!

Just a tip. Your engine is at 5000rpm your clutch is out and your wheels are not spinning. This means 1 you are in neutral or 2 you are burning the hell out of your clutch. A friend did this and burned out a clutch on his brand new accord v6 6sp in 5k miles.

So if his clutch is slipping in 1st, then why not in second?

And how is putting trays under the tires going to help doing a burn out?
