Car shakes when clutch engaged.
97 Civic DX, 94000 miles:
When I first start my car in the morning, after it's warmed up, I can apply a low RPM to the throttle and sink in the clutch easily without any sort of shaking. I'm not talking about clutch rattle here, just so you know, which is another symtom I have when clutch is engaged (up).
As I drive for a while, the driving characteristics of my car changes. Whereas before I could baby my car (low RPM acceleration) I am now forced to apply a considerably higher RPM to avoid the car shaking.
So to clearify: I am forced to do higher-rev acceleration in first gear or the car will shake violently. My car becomes DIFFICULT to drive as I spend more time driving it.
I theorise that the reason the car performs normal in the morning is because the clutch has not been pushed in. I imagine some sort of spring that is worn out, but which regenerates if the clutch is up and unused because of no tention. The clutch was supposedly replaced at 60k, but I don't believe the previous owner. Then again, maybe...
