Help, car shaking !
Well its winter here in the great north and yesterday was the first snowfall, 25cm, i managed not to get stuck and when i parked my car over night in the snow, the morning after i tryed to move but the car wouldnt move. I said to myself that the snow probably hardened and thought nothing much about it. I backed up and moved forward and i guess whatever was stuck to the car came loose after a big sound that you would normally hear. So i get on to the highway and as i start going above 80km/h the car starts to vibrate...at 100 its shaking so much that the passenger seat is shaking back and forth. So i stoped and tryed to clear any snow between the tire and the body and got back in and its still vibrating?? I hope i didnt break any component of the suspension? Anyone have an idea what it could be? A joint or something?
any ideas appreciated ...

You don't have any snow stuck in your wheels/hub caps, do you? I don't see a motor mount being the problem here. If it was, I think your car would shake if you sat in one spot and revved the motor to about 3K. If not, then think wheels or suspension.
No my tires are balanced, and even if they werent the car wouldnt shake that badly. I opened my hood and noticed lots of snow build up on my suspension and the snow kind of turned to ice,it might be that my suspension is so frozen up but i still cant explain the violent shaking...ill try to get the car washed and seee what happens.

check behind your wheels (front and back) im willing to bet that on one of them you have a chunk of snow/ice.. it sounds as if your car was frozen to the ground (the lound noise would be your tires breaking free) which would explain why it wouldnt move at first..
things dont just magicly snap overnight so unless you hit something (curb.. ect) there is no reason for your car to suddenly start shaking like that
