ok.. we all know that our transmissions suck.. but heres my question...

what transmission swaps can we do.. even from other years... yah.. i assume the 01 to 02 to 03... der... or will an upgrade to the stock transmission work it all out... cause im at the point of needing the new clutch for my 01 coupe manual installed.. and i allready got it on jacks

i heard that 01-03 manual trans are crap sadly. and the 04+ are golden. someone else should come up in here and verify but i am pretty sure the 04+ would be better than 01-03 as there have been lots of problems with those trans so honda addressed them with 04+ transmissions.

Most of the problems are user related from people beating the **** out of their cars. If your trans isnt having problems I wouldnt worry. If it is get a 04-05 trans

yes most problem are from people beating the crap out of there tranny...

04 are all good. better syncrowns and what not.

ill install my second tranny this saturday.

when i first got my civic like 7 months ago the tranny got mess up within 2 months, it was probaly of driver error and i barley abuse it like doing maybe 10 burnouts within 2 months, but luckly it had the dealership warrentee for 3 months,somehting like and got a whole new tranny before it expire, but know i dont burnouts no more. Had the new one for about 5 months and it works like new
