im gonna be putting on my vertical doors tomorow and i know im gonna have to extend the wires since the kit doesnt come with the wire extensions. i wanna go pick up some wire tonight so i have it ready to go first thing in the morning. does anyone know what gauge the wires that door from the car into the door is. ive got an 05 civic coupe ex. i tried to look and it is all covered in a rubber tube. i know i will have to cut the tube, but i dont want to do that till im ready to install. so if anyone know what gauge the wire is, that would help me a lot. thanks.

i have found that the biggest gauge wire for signal in my car is pretty much 12 gauge, i personally have never done vertical doors on a civic but on my buddy's Harley Davidson F150 the wires were 12 gauge going into the door if i remember correctly, but the main thing is that you don't put in a wire that is a smaller gauge then what you currently have because you will lose some of the current/signal/whatever going through the wire. so in essence bigger is better, or at least thats what she said...
