Headlight warning not working

when i first got the car in april it would let me know if I left my headlights on after turning the car off with a solid tone. Now it doesn't and I've almost killed my battery a few times. Is it a fuse i need to replace or am i just making up the headlight warning? I tried searching for it, but i got about 500 posts with the words HEADLIGHT and WARNING.

thanks.

It only does it when driver door open.

Is the dome light coming on when drivers door open ??

If not, check the door switch. They are known to go bad.

The control for that circuit is part of the under-dash fuse box.

its prolly the door switch either broken or not grounded properly.

so the interior lights do not come on when i open the drivers door, but come on when the three other doors are open. So I'm guessing its the switch and i think I know how it broke, I closed my seatbelt in the door lastweek and it hasn't worked since then. Is this an easy fix? or should I just take it to honda? There is a wreckers close by so i could most likely get the switch for cheap.

yea the rubber piece comes off the bottom and then you can unscrew and unplug the trigger piece (the screw is hidden under the rubber so you gotta dig). get a new one and then plug it in and put the screw back.

Under the rubber cover is a Phillips head screw & a single wiring connector to remove. Make sure it is getting a good ground connection at the screw. If nothing else swap it out with another of the door switches.
