My windshield wipers seem to be acting funny. The wipers slam against the plastic piece right below the windshield when the car is at the stop and when going about 55mph +, they start to hit the side of the pillars. If you get out and grab the wipers, the wipers can move easily about 5 inches each way.

Does something need to be tightened or is it my motors? Any ideas will help. Thanks.

I would check the nuts that mount the entire arm. I have had them come loose on Japanese cars I have owned in the past. Easy fix.

Don't overtighten.
