i think my water pump might be going bad. my car keeps overheating and i know its not the thermostat because i changed it twice. and now my maintenance required light is blinking when i start the car up. so could this be the problem

maintenance req'd means Honda wants money. It doesn't mean theres a problem. If its overheating, check everything that may be the cause... radiator, pump, sounds like the T=stats been checked, clogged line, etc.....
Whats the coolant look like?

i have checked the radiator and and everything that might be the problem. the only thing i have not checked was the water pump. but if it was bad there would be something leaking from it right? i am really lost on why its overheating at first i though if was the fan not kicking in but they come on fine.and i just flushed the radiator and the it looked fine. befor it overheats i can smell it thats how i know to look down at my temp. and i am leaving for ATL in the morning . do you think it would be good or should i just take another car?

under the dash. if it smells coolant inside cabin, then its the core.

Good way to see if it is the heater core is to turn on the defrost see if you get any coolant on the winsheild. If you say the coolant looked fine when you flushed I would'nt suspect the water as failing. Pressure test the cooling system and check for leaks-Rad,hoses, around timing cover for water pump leakage etc.
