Engine cut off coz of AEM V2 ?

Hey guys...
I recently installed a AEM V2 Air intake which no doubt is the best Intake out there in the market .... Now heres the thing ... When my car was Stock, The most I have done was 125mph ... After installing the intake my Engine CUts off the moment i reach 110mph ... By engine cuts off I mean ... I loos power under my foot... FOr a second; it feels like the car just took a half second break to catch up .. everything dies... Power is lost and then comes back ... but keeps on happening if i dont remove the foot off the gas !!!

My Exhaust system is Stock though ... Please help me out ... Take care

is the rpm at redline? give about 100 miles for the ecu to adjust to the new intake.

AEM best intake on the market? lol... yep okay. and going 125mph? your cool. but as for your question, the motor is getting so much more air now that they ECU has to "relearn" itself. just let it sit for a while. and btw, no matter what, you wouldnt go above the governed speed of your car unless your going downhill. from what your saying, im thinking your trying to reach higher speeds.

it depends on the car. engine might cut out earlier on certain models. i know some only have rev limiter but some have fuel cut. someone here got to 140 and has a pic of it.

i can second the 140 but i dont have a pic of it. I wasn't even driving i was sitting in the passenger seat. It went past 140 to whereever redline in 5th is like 145-6-7 i dunno. That was on a 01 ex 2dr 5spd with I/E.

I dont suggest doing it though. The speed limit is there for a reason. But if you can find a nice abandon airport, just dont jerk the wheel. Turning isn't the best thing to do at that speed.

Oh and before everyone calls BS on me like the last time i posted this finding. YOu dont believe me try it for yourself with the same setup: 01 ex 2dr with 2 cheap un-effective mods. Or maybe mine just doesn't have a govenor. I did buy it used.
