A poor solder connection(s) is a possibility at the LEDs leads solder point.
A quick test for poor solder would be tap lightly on the spoiler near the LED assembly when the brakes are on to see if the defective LEDs flicker on and off with vibration.

You dont have to rewire, I bet if you open up the third brake light you would find all the LEDs wired up in parallel and just a couple either have a cold solder connection or just burned out. Take a soldering pencil and pull out the defective ones find out what color they truly are. There are a MILLION types of LEDS on the internet you can find. Be carefull when testing the LEDs though they do not run on 12V, they run on a lower 1v-3v. You could also read amperage on the LED to match the right LED so its not a different color using a Ammeter aka voltmeter.
