Trip Odometer partially burnt out

I drive a 03 Civic LX 2-Door and in the past few months I've noticed that my trip odometer is partially faded at times. The top portions of most of the numbers disappears if I'm driving for a while or if I've left the car in the sun for too long. The numbers are fine in the morning, but as the day goes on, or if I don't start my car til the afternoon, the numbers won't fully light up. If you need any more info, please ask...this is only an annoyance as it doesn't affect the performance of the car, but I hope its not something more serious.

ya thats a hard one, its tied to the circuitboard and very hard to remove without breaking. but i think with some good solder skills and a spare cluster, it can be done.
