Weird electrical problems
Today I drove to work and back (70 mile round trip) and everything was fine. Went back home and ate, then went to napa. I started my car and was going down my driveway and my battery light stayed on longer than usual, but I revved the engine and it went away.
After driving for about 10 minutes with my headlights on and cd player running, my abs light came on for about a minute, then I lost all my instrumentation, but my car kept running fine. Turned the headlights off, and everything came back on. I then turned the AC on, and the ABS light came on, turned the headlights back on and car died.
Absolutely no idea, because the battery eye shows its fully charged. I was thinking alternator but no clue. This has never happened before.

it may be an alternator issue. Alot of times when certain systems drop past a certain voltage, they start acting crazy.
have the battery and alternator tested.

Well today I'm going to go to autozone to have it checked.
I'll also take a look to see if its slipping too.
Tested the amp at autozone and I guess it was putting out 7.7 amps at 2000 rpms and had no output at idle....
I'm at a loss for words considering my car just turned over 50k miles.

i am having the same issue. My car has about 85000 miles on it and i just put a new alt in it and the problems came back after about 2 days. The battery that i have tests ok same with the alt, but i havent checked any belts which one would be slipping (sry im a bit of a newb still when it comes to this stuff). If anyone finds a remedy to this problem PLZ! help.

If the belt is slipping, im assuming you would hear it.
I'm putting my new alt in tonight we'll see how it goes.
Vulcan - are your gauges acting weird or is your whole electrical system dying?

the first alt my gauges would shut off and come back on at 3000rpm but since the new one was installed now the battery light just blinks and after long trips the SRS and ABS lights flash on for a sec or two then back off
I think though there is some idoling problem bc it idles around 600 and i dont think they are supposed to idol that low, and it drops about 100rpm when stopped every 3 secs

You should take it to the dealer to clear the codes. Have them check the Electronic Load Detector to se if it needs replacement. That should fix the problem I hope. Let me know!!
