Driver side engine mount bolt broken
I was installing my engine torque dampener this afternoon and when I tried to undo the engine mount bolts on the driver's side (next to the alternator) one of the studs broke on me (the one in front, if that matters). Anyhoo, it's Sunday tomorrow and of course no dealerships will be open, not that they'd be able to get me a mount that day anyway. I have to drive around tomorrow and of course work (40km drive on the highway) during the week, so I have no choice but to drive on the remaning bolt and just take it easy on 'er. I have the following questions for my engine gurus:
1) If that other stud breaks too due to the added stress, will the car be rendered undrivable or can I limp it along for a few days (no longer than a week I hope) until I get a mount installed? I'm ordering one Monday but I don't think it'll be available till the next day...
2) I'm reading up on the service manual and there's no section specifically for replacing that mount - I can see the alternator and PS pump will probably have to be displaced - can this be replaced without an engine hoist? I don't have access to one for a few weeks unfortunately.
Thanks in advance for your input guys.
