Won't turn over

So I was out about to come home from getting groceries got in the car and it will not turn over. Imagine attempting to start it without pushing in the clutch and thats where I am at. I disconnected the alarm just in case the alarm was fried and the kill engine trigger had been set. No luck there. Anyone have a clue where to start before I call in the tow trucks and have it sent to the shop?

what happens when you turn the key, clicking sound, no sound, do any lights work, etc? we need to know. Could be dead battery, could be loose battery cable connection, could be bad starter, all sorts of things.

When I turn the key there is a small click from under the steeering wheel close to the driver side door. I havent looked since my car is in a parking lot and its dark but I assume it a fuse box or a relay panel(??). The battery seems to be fine as all my meters are reading 12.4V or so. lights come on, windows roll up, etc. I disconnected and reconnected the battery to try that and no luck. So, the only noise I can hear is the single tick coming from that area and everything else seems normal.

okay so prolly not the battery. if it was you would hear rapid clicking sound like somethings broken. or lights would be dim. hmm. when you turn the key to the ON position without cranking the motor, do you hear a hum/buzz sound for a few seconds? its hard to hear so have the door open when you try, its the fuel pump priming. or it could just be a bad starter. have you tried reading the engine codes? maybe there is a problem and it picked it up. But im guessing you dont have a code reader...

I wish i had a code reader. From what I could tell there is not a buzzing noise or anything. Its just a single tick like a relay opening/closing and thats all. Sounds like I may just have it towed to the shop and see if the warranty is gonna cover it.
