My 2001 lx (canadian) coupe just had its exhaust manifold replaced and prior to that I had a valve adjustment (I thouhgt the noise caused by the manifold was valves). Now I get the car back and at idle there is a small hint of clatter and when I slow way down and release the clutch in second gear I get a pronounced clatter until the engine picks up speed. It sounds like when you try to start the car in too low a gear and the engine tries to stall. Do you think my valves are now in need of adjustment or is there some other issue?
