werid sounds commin from the vic

humm ok so installed my greddy evo 2 like 2 months ago on my 03 civic dx. and since then, when it rains, it sounds like part of my car is grounding out, but not as loud, and theres a lil vibration under my shift **** (auto btw). one theory i herd was that the stainless steel gets very hot, and water that hits it cause the steel to cool and thats whats causing the nasty vibrations. but i dunno. i got it checked at an exhaust shop. and its not hitting anything cause theres tones of room. any other ideas of what it could be?

another victim of the epic battle of the civic with aftermarket exhaust and the rain. learn to deal with it, it happens to us all. i believe a search will show you that you are not alone with this problem, however i believe there is no clear fix to this problem

ya its just the pipe expanding and hitting the car. bigger piping does it. no real fix except to have a shop bend up the exhaust. just deal with it.

small correction to the theory of the aftermarket exhaust hitting the frame, bud out at the motorsports store has a vic with stock exhaust and has the sound also, so its not any aftermarket exhausts (dont let the dealerships fool you.....the fools dont like our little corner of this world) he found on here somewhere cause he cant find it again that its actually a pipe under the engine expanding with the rain and hitting up against a frame rail, this is a factory issue, doesnt affect anything supposedly but ive felt a HUGE power loss every time it happens to me and a quick downshift helps

ya the stock b-pipe. there is a tsb and the dealer replaces it with a different one under warranty.
