Hope someone can help me out, major electrical problemo

ok here we go... when i used my keyless this morning i notice that none of the doors were unlocking, so i figured that the battery in my remote must have died big deal buy new batteries problem solved. then when i started my car i realized that my deck wouldn't turn on so i started checking everything else out... headlights work, day time running work, all interior lights (guages, switches. power windows all work) everything ran except the radio. so i replaced the fuse figuring that would solve my problem well it didnt. when i turned my car off with the key still in the ignition realized that there was no annoying beep reminding me to take my keys out, and the cabin light was off even though it was switched on and my door locks wouldn't work. when the cars on everything electrical seems to run, but when the cars off with the key in the ignition nothing works... has someone ever run into this kind of problem before, i have no idea where to start trying to solve this problem.

hmmm I will try... though i've changed most of the interior fuses... mainly radio, cigarette, meter, i honestly think it might be a relay, but which one should i check/replace? does anybody know what the top four fuses are for, i cant decipher the acronyms that they used

well just check if any fuse is broken (metal wire inside is burnt). Just check em all.

yea can't really find any burnt out fuses, so i'm just gonna buy a whole bunch of fuses and change all of them hahahaha... if that doesn't solve the problem then i guess theres no option left then to take it to the pros

well dont replace a good fuse that wont help anything. and if you say these work with the car on, it doesn't sound like a fuse problem, more like relays. i know there's some behind the glove box, not sure what they are for tho. do you hear clicking sounds when you try and use the keyless etc?

nope i don't hear anything... when i use the keyless nothing happens, also when i'm inside with the driver side door open, theres no interior light, and no annoying reminder that my key is in the ignition... when i click the key once to turn the radio on still nothing, but its only when i actually start the car and the motors running then everything becomes funtional again, except my radio... it seems like i'm having problems only when the cars off or when the key is only turned once.... and this problem seems to be connected to my deck thats why it won't turn on... but you say there are fuses behind the glove box, may i blew one there... but i have a feeling your right about the relays but how do i know which one to look for and how do i test if there blown or not.... really appreciate all the help gearbox

er... wow. i just started a thread describing the exact same problem you're having.

it happened after my brother tried to install a new head unit and then put the old one back in.

any progress on your part?

i didn't know there are fuses behind the glovebox, though there's a bunch under the steering column.
