clutch engagement

I am having a rough time with my clutch engagement. I don't seem to remember any other manual car that i have driven to be this touchy. are all our clutches finicky on engagement?

I feel the same, it changes once in a while, and it has a soft engagement point and a second harder point.

are you used to driving a truck or something? The clutch on my 05 is smoothe as hell. It just picks up late so you have to get used to that

after reading other posts i realized that i did mean late engagement. can it be changed? is there a kit or something to make the engagement further down in the clutch movement?

I get that.
Also at the stop sometimes 1st doesnt want to engage, infact I can't get shifter through to the end point. At that time I have to pump clutch a little to make it work =)

Omni power makes a clutch master cylinder that reduces clutch travel by 50%. I havent heard anyone on here that has it but its from omnipower so it should work exactly like they say. The only downside i can think of is a more finicky clutch engagement, but faster shifts and shorter clutch travel thus making you have earlier clutch engagement.
