pre-problem diagnosis
man, I dunno what is gonna happen, but it's never a good sign when you're idle speed drops while you're stopped at a light in an automatic. sitting there, minding my own business in D, with the idle around 650-700 or so, when it drops suddenly to the 500 and lower mark and starts to sputter. I push it into neutral and rev it to 2k for a little and the light changes and I wait for it to drop and shift then. doesn't happen again at all. this is the first time it's ever done that. I code scanned the car and nothing came up, and I've been keeping an eye on her. something tells me its a matter of time until something gives now. I'm thinking either alternator (cuz my lights are dimming more than usual when I do stuff) , or my belt is slipping. any other ideas for me to check on?

just pull off the throttle body and clean the iac sensor. see all nice and clean after spraying a can of carb cleaner in there and getting all the carbon out.

I'll probably do that this coming friday when my shop lets me work on my car.
we got some strong-assed throttle body cleaner from I think midwest (yellow can) like a case of it is like 90 bux or something only 6 cans though....

Its the IAC valve on the left of the throttle body. those two holes with the 3 on it is for the coolant hoses. that valve is usually covered with carbon and can get stuck, causing erratic idle.
