Vtec + Engine Light
i just put in a fake cat and aftermarket header, and i know my engine was gonna turn on, but does that mean my vtec head will stop working ???

r u serious man if you dont know the answer to that question then you shouldnt mod your motor. you need to reread you post as well. i got the basics but it makes no sense at all

your car will majically turn into an M3 if you turn your car on after these mods. So, no it won't work becasue BMW's don't have vtec.

basically a test pipe. Or a pipe with a resonator. Anything that isnt a cat.

Now I am locking this thread before it gets out of hand. And to you I5R, please search on this issue. It has been asked plenty of times before. Once you installed the test pipe, you have no cat converter so the secondary o2 sensor is signaling the ECU that there is no cat. Vtec has nothing to do with that. it will still work.
