Gauge Faces flicker!
I just got done doing everything in spec with the DIY covering this topic...And now when I just tried out the glow, they flicker on/off about 20 times a second! Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Okay, I went out and hooked up the gauges separatly to a spare car battery...everything works fine. Hooked it back up, and the idiot sound (lights on, Keys in Ign.) beeps about 10 times as fast as it's supposed to along with the gauge face lights flickering. I really hope that I didn't fry my gauge cluster...

Yeah...From the DIY what I thought it said was tap it going FROM the Harness, not the one coming into it. /me is retarded

Stupid gauge faces...
Okay, I've posted a couple times on this before, but this one is just getting stupider and stupider. I just installed Reverse Glow gauge faces. At first everything was flickering,faces and all, so I switched the power wire for my gauges from the wire coming from the harness to the one coming into it, solved the problem of the faces. Now all the backlights for the factory stereo and the cruise/sunroof/mirror switch all flicker like a son of a bitch...WTF! I'm getting tired of this. Chime in with what you think could be the problem.

I moved your new thread into this one. please refer to this thread instead of opening a new thread each time you have a problem with the same beginning issue.

==========V==[]
^Wiring Harness
V is where I cut it....Right now the power to the inverter is coming from the left side. The gauge faces don't flicker, but all the backlights on the control *****/stereo and the Mirror/Sunroof/Cruise do. I already contacted Bomz support, and they're sending another inverter out ASAP no charge...Awesome. I'm thinking for the time being either...
A: putting the inverter power wire to the harness (Basically making it a T) and then just turning down the illumination or...
B. Running a dedicated 12v Wire with a switch to turn the faces on and putting the whole system back to stock basically. All I know is this is getting REALLY stupid

According to the civic manual, the dash light power is the red/black wire on the blue connector, pin 16 at the gauge cluster. Everything after that, pin 17 is the output after the dimmer. So you should tap into B16 for the inverter.
At least that's what the diagram shows.

Yeah, I cut only the RED/BLACK wire like I've been told like a good boy to...Should I reconnect all three? Like twist two together and then the third one with those two?
P.S. I did use electrical tape as a temporary measure...I just went and got Butt connectors and I'm going to redo the ground and clean the spot with a wire brush and stuff...

Yes. The red/black is the main illumination wire. You only want to tap into it. Splice it back together and add the inverter + wire there. Make sure the - goes to a good ground.

Yes, I tried that on my lunch hour...Bingo. Worked like a charm. Hey, Even though I'm a complete retard, at least I get another free inverter to play around with...
