Rep Power: 0 Catalytic Converter Question
Ive been hearing this rattle noise for the past 3 days, so I took it to the shop this morning and said my catalytic converter was bad. Does anyone know a name brand i should get and/or a site? I have a 99 honda civic. Thanks

Rep Power: 295 Random Technology... cheaper and better then OEM IMO.

BTW, a rattle generally means bad muffler, I would have that checked first and make sure these guys aren't just tring to sell you more than you need. cat's are not cheap and you can probably do it you self, but they will charge you quite a bit. Did theyput the car up on a ramp and run it to find the rattle? If so they should know for sure and they should have had you come out and see for your self.

Rep Power: 295 $65 is normal... I would rather do it myself, but with the proper tools and a ramp, it's a pain... up to you I guess.

Rep Power: 295 oopps.... I miss typed that, I ment with proper tools and set of ramps, it's not to bad. Anyway, I'm sure it's all rusted up, they normally are, so it's probably just best to have them do it. Good luck
