Angry Broken Upper Strut Bolt

Wow, so I hate my torque wrench. I have a click type torque wrench that had been wonderful for me for many years. So it went into storage for 2 months while I was out at sea and I brought it back out to do some torque checks on my neuspeed strut bar. So I set it at 33 ft-lbs, the specified torque for those bolts. Turned, no click. Kept turning still no click. Hmmmm.... this seems a bit excessive but ill keep going because it has worked flawlessly before. Turn, click. The only problem was the click was the bolt breaking cleanly in half. Stupid focking torque wrench. Now I have to find either a new bolt for that or a new strut. This sucks. Oh well I think ill just buy some tein ss or something like that. God this sucks because I really shouldnt drive like this but I have to. And I have to buy either a new strut assembly or bolt and a new damn torque wrench. *******!

Did you store the torque wrench in a fully unloaded state? If you forgot, this can happen. Oh well. Could have been worse.
