Help! Three OBD II Codes

Can someone provide direction or potential solution to error codes on '01 Civic HX w/98K miles:

P1298 Electrical Load Detector Circuit High Input
P1166 Heated Oxgen Sensor Sensor1 (Primary HO2S) Heater Circuit Malfunction
P1167 Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Heater System Malfunction

I replaced the O2 sensor with Bosch unit and cleared the codes but P1298 and P1166 came back on?

Is there another problem? Can the Bosch unit be defective? All ideas are greatly appreciated.

well the ELD is a separate problem. thats the device that turns off the alternator when it isn't needed to charge the battery. i think thats in the fuse box somewhere. the others sound like a bad 02 sensor. bosch is prolly not the best one to buy either.

according to the manaul, with code P1166, it is a circuit malfunction, not a actual component problem. More like a wiring issue or ECU issue. Another member had the same problem with that same code and nowhere in the manaul did it diagnosis it to ever be a bad 02 sensor, but he ended up replacing it and it fixed the problem.

I would first try and replace that 02 sensor with a sensor from honda. or take it to the dealer and have them diagnosis it.

the other code with the ELD may be a defective ELD unit.

Honda issued a Service Bulletin on 5/6/05 for all '01-'05 Civics ELD's. Probable cause: faulty solder joint. The replacement ELD part # is 38255-S5A-003. Honda will probably repair as goodwill even after warranty expiration.

I also ordered the Denso O2 sensor (Honda OEM, I believe) and took back the Bosch. Will advise ofter install if this fixes the problem.

Can I reset or clear the ECU codes by removing the number 6 fuse for 10 seconds and then putting it back in or do I need to clear with OBD II reader?

Thanks for everyones help!
