Unhappy motor tapping

ok so last night i was driving along and i hit a massive water puddle. and of course my cold air intake sucked up water . i shut the car off right away. got out disconected my intake and started up my car. at first it was tapping really bad. then the longer i let it sit and idle the worse it got.

how do i get rid of the rest of that tapping. i didnt look at my oil yet to see if theres water it it which im pretty sure there is gonna be. and i pretty sure i fouled out my plugs. is there anything else i need to change to make the tapping stop or what is your suggestions.

huh? You checked the valves? You'll need to take the head off to check the valves. I would say bent valve too. Check the oil, you probably have water in it, but the damage is probably already done.
