High RPM's
High RPM's
I have a 02 civic ex, it runs about 4k @ 80mph in 5th gear,is this normal? i've spoken to quite a few people locally (including honda mechanics) and they say NO. i think that the car was set up for the lower range of gears instead of the middle to upper range. any help/suggestion would be welcomed, thank you

Yeah, stock GSR=4.4, I was just saying 4k @70mph is stock. If you go down to the 4.76, you'll be around 4500-4750, VTEC (on a GSR) engages at 4,400 RPM, so you will be in VTEC top end when you are at 70 MPH. I know a few people with that gearing and complain because their MPG is so low because of that.
