here is a question if anyone can help....
i bought this 96 dx in february this year with 84000 miles, one owner, nice shape, clean interior ans so on.....

ever since then i have been sticking to the 3000mile mark on oil changes but not to the tranny fluid.... ( its an auto btw ) ever since saturday the tranny engaged the gears really smooth... saturday i decided to change the tranny fluid along with the oil to get it ready for winter. i got it done at jiffy lube and what they did was drain the fluid and add some more... NOW when i put the car in drive and the car shifts to second gear the change is so hard that the car feels like it gon go ahead and leave me behind. it kinda feels like someone bumping me in the back.. but the tranny is not slipping and thats why im puzzled... i know its not a 7thgen but the tranny is basically the same set up as the 7thgen auto tranny... u know P - R - N - D4 - D3 - 2
BTW the car 93000 miles now
could it be the fluid f@cking up my tranny???
any info is greatly apreciated

hmmmmmm never have jiffy lube work on your cars. did they use the pump or just unplug and refill. cuz if they use that pump it can mess up the torque converter. it just forces all the bad fluid through it and itll get clogged up. i did that to my 91 accord and after i flushed it it shifted funny. it is best to never change it after a certain point just make sure the level is good.

here is the recipt that eplains what they did....
yeah talkto aamco and see if they can tell you if it is something jiffy lube did wrong (i.e. wrong fluid, not enough or too much fluid) but other than that they arent resposible.

ok i think this is a simple misunderstanding. you paid them to changed your tranny fluid, not flush the whole system out and put new in. so what im saying is, go get a whole system flush. maybe that will help.
here is another thing- my friend had his tranny fluid flushed completey. and when they put the new fluid in, they discovered leaks in the system cause the fluid dried up in the cracks and filled the hole lol. so maybe it was too old to change. idk. good luck

heres a tip never go to jiffy lube again. and dont get the flush they ruin your system.
his trans seal was probably alright but those system flushes put pressure on your trasnmission and that is why it started leaking. jiffy lube is a schiesty company i know cuz i worked there. you have 2 people who know what they are doing the rest are just idiots. i was inthe group of the people who knew how to work on cars.

actually jiffy lube doesnt have to fix it. they have soooo many loop holes. when you sign the work order you just sold your soul, by signing you agree to the service and if it does cause immediate severe problems like it locks up they are at fault but once you drive off your liable for it. basically you are not taking your vehicle to a certified car tech. it is hard to explain their legal mumbo jumbo. but if you hassle them enough they might refund you.

i talked with management overthere and they said that what the newb did was wrong.. he drained some out and filled it with some more creating air in the lines.... he told me if its not gone by friday to bring it back and he will compleatly drain and flush the tranny and put some new fluid in????
if he does that i rather go get the honda ATF and have them put it in how much is that **** anyone know??????? $100 worth for a flush and refill???

Creaking Sound When Turning Left
Hi, I have a 2004 Civic Ex Coupe. It has about 7,000 miles on it. Recently, I noticed that when I make a left turn sometimes a creaking sound occurs...it sounds like it is coming somewhere around the front of the driver's side door (near the side mirror). The noise sounds like something is being stressed. Anyone heard of this before? The noise just suddenly appeared about a month ago...I does not always happen.
Sorry, Moderator can you please transfer this to a new post? The advanced edit is not working for me. Thank you.
