Short ram problem

My local dealer installed my ractive short ram about a month ago. They set it up so theres 2 lines running over it, a fuel line which has a heat thing around it...and another one, which Im not sure about. Anyways, this mistery line is starting to stick to the intake, I moved it the other day, and theres residue from the line stuck to the intake I think im going to go buy a heat wrap shield thing, similar to the fuel line (I dont like having a fuel line that close to that much heat...)...But this ever happen to you guys? I was going to remove it, and run the line underneath the intake, but it looks like there would be too much slack...
I didnt think intakes got that hot! time for a heat shield i guess

Take it back to the installer and show them, maybe they'll put something around that line for free...

can you take a pic. I used to have a short tam intake and never had that problem. Sounds like they didnt route the lines correctly. That other line may be a vacuum line. But not sure.

mine has a rubber thing around it. maybe yours does too but you just need to clean it? so it won't leave residue?

I have the same intake and same problem, I just dug up a piece of plastic tube looking thing, kinda like a really small PVC pipe and wrapped it around that wire.. works fine for me.
