Timing belt tensioner failure.

I had a timing belt tensioner fail at 100000 km. Resulted in 8 bent valves and piston damage.

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

sorry to hear that. Yea its almost a fact that valves will be bent with a timing belt failure, and yours resulted in the tensioner failing. was your car under warranty?

Its worse when the piston recieves damage. Looks like you are in for a new motor. Or a rebuid of the old one

what he said

your under 100,000 miles.
I say that should be covered under the powertrain warrenty.
Refer to your warrenty manual that shoould have got with the car.
