I have some weird rattling noise that sounds like its comming from underneath towards the rear somewhere. Only happens when the bass hits, got some crappy kicker 12" subs in the back but its enough to rattle the trunk. So far i have done the DIY and tightened the trunk latch and i even removed the spare tire and rear deck and turned it up. Same rattling noise! Tried lookin underneath and feeling around. My guess, its comming from above the gas tank. But i wanted to make sure that thats what it was before i start wrenching away at the tank. Anyone had this problem?

There is a flap of some sort on my 2005 coupe just behind the rear wheel on the drivers side - it's there to allow air to escape the cabin when you close the door(s) with the windows up. Lie down behind your rear wheel and feel on the unitbody for the port/flap.

If thats the plastic thing thats covering a little box then i just ripped that stupid thing out cuz that was one of the first things that came before the trunk's rattle. The sound i would have to say is plastic vibrating on metal. But oh well im just gonna rip the tank out soon, down to a half tank of gas =D
