Well my transmission keeps on popping out of gear. when i'm just cruise down the highway to school or where ever it will pop out of 5th gear i never had any problems with the other gears. If i have ever grinded the gear it would of been once or twice. There is nothing in the way of the shift linkage as i can see under the hood and by the shifter. I have a revo short throw my dad thinks that might be the problem. But seems like when i'm going down the highway at 50-70 mph it feels like i could pull the shifter out of gear but going like 70+ it doens't feel like it will pull out. someone has told me to check my tranny fluid but not sure how you do that yet, i'll probally check it tommorow.

If you search around you will see that this is a common problem. there is a TSB out for it http://www.geocities.com/pfeifferper...sOutofGear.pdf
If you are still under warranty take it in, otherwise if you are out of warranty might either want to look for a used tranny or have this one rebuilt. Having the dealer or whatever shop go in there to replace 1 or 2 things is useless IMO. The tranny is already open, why not just rebuild it.

I have had the same problem, I thought it might be the short throw shift linkeage, but it wasn't. I have an 02 ex with DC short throw and I have problems in 3rd and 5th. As long as my foot is on the gas, I have no problem staying in gear, but as soon as I let off the gas my shifter will push out of gear. 5th gear is a pain in the bag as well when driving on the highway, I basically have to leave my hand on the shifter pushing up when driving in traffic, so that I don't have to keep pushing in my clutch and shifting over and over.
After looking over the article, they talk about 5th and 2nd being the problem, but I am going to pop off my cables and check out the bushings like they stated.

Had the same problem. Rebuilt tranny with 37xxx miles on my car. They covered it under warranty with a little persuasion. Take out the REVO SS or else they won't cover it under warranty assuming your under warranty.
