Problem with Door panel - 05 coupe

Today while washing my wife's car I noticed that the door trim/panel had become separated from the retention clips and there was a piece of plastic hanging down. I promptly banged it back into place but couldn't help to feel a little troubled by this. The car only has 4000km and already I have problems with the door panels falling apart. This is not the Honda I knew, has anyone else experienced such poor assembly with a 7th gen civic? I thought that all the assembly issues and bugs would have been ironed out having a late build civic at the end of its lifecycle, I guess I was wrong and even more troubling is that cost cutting is more evident than ever with this iteration civic.

both my door panels are broken. the driver's side might be cause i closed it on my belt buckle once or twice. but that's never happened in any other car i've had. i dunno. and the passenger side maybe cause i was broken into twice. i dunno though. my car is just falling apart.

so it just came loose? i havent had any problems with my 03. Have you taken the panel off at all? You may want to take it off and make sure all the retainer clips are properly attached in their slots. If not, then just banging it back may crack the slot they sit in. When you say plastic was hanging out, do you mean like a clear plastic sheet or like a peice of the same plastic on the door?

Do you have dynamat or anything behind it? Check the clips, the white clips crush pretty easily.

I had a pillar piece fall off, dealer replaced it for free

But yeah, check the clips if it falls off again, they just cheap little clip that are very easy to break.

i just bought some more of the clips cause a few of mine were broken. Honda wanted 3.89 each! i bought a package of 10 from here http://northlandfasteners.biz/Store/...6f0e36b3a76452 for about 6.50. just a tip. shipping was fast, service was good. they have about any clips you would need. this link is to the page with the door clips on it.
