Deuce Deuce has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Cat

Has anybody removed the cat off their car. Is that your everyday car or is it just a "weekend" racer.

most people who get a hi flow cat or no cat live in states where smog check isn't required. You won't pass without a cat, its illegal.

I once removed a Tabby from my car. Will I still pass smog?

Sorry, I just had to.

Yea know... I have the HX which is a ULEV, and I thought about removing it and seeing if I could still pass emissions (once every 2 yrs in MD) But I'd have to get those O2 simulator things for the sensors, and then I don't know if it'll still read correctly in the OBD2, so really it's not worth the effort.

If you are going to do it, I would recommend having a shop bolt in a replacement pipe and not weld it in, so you can unbolt it and rebolt the cat before emissions. too much effort in my opinion.

EL-Sport is an unknown quantity at this point
Its pointless on an NA car like the Civic. You won't really gain any power.

It would be comparable to purchasing a larger after market exhaust. The Cat is the most restrictive point from the headers to the exhaust tip… You are bound to gain at least 30 hp ….

I’m just kidding It would be worth while if you do not have emissions to pass.
