Clunking noise, possibly transmission? Help!

03 EX coupe A/T
215.35.18s lowered to 1 finger gap
custom catback exhaust

There is a noise that comes from my car...it occurs on and off when it feels like it.
Its an annoying clunking sound from underneath my car.
It sounds like its coming directly from underneath the gear shifter.
Las night for a while, I would press the gas,
and it even seemed like it would not go into gear until i let go to catch its place.
Anyway, at times i can actually feel the 'gear shifter' vibrate as the clunking noise happens.

Is it possible that I hit a bump too hard and it damaged something from underneath the car?

I'm still under warranty, but if its possible i can take care of this problem myself that would be good.

Don't want to go to Honda and have them say my warranty is voided cuz of exhaust and all that BS. But if i have to i will.

In any case, it sounds bad and I want to get it checked out ASAP. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

if its not going into gear right away, the tranny is slipping. Soon it will just rev when you press the gas and you'll need a new one.

you wont always need a new one when that happens, you can rebuild it.

hey, neutral drops arent something youre gonna have to worry bout if u got a standard. basically neutral drops are when automatics rev the engine in Neutral (N) and then drop it down to Drive (D) basically for no reason but to make the tires squeal and give u somewhat of a better launch if ur racing. its not something that an A/T driver wants to do repetitively, or else the tranny would give out eventually (possibly my situation ).

anyway, btw before anyone flames, since it is ur first post, nex time use the search bar and type in something...because really many many different topics have been covered in these forums like if u typed in neutral drop you'll find many different topics covering that. anyway, if there anything else u got question bout, someone will have an answer for u here. enjoy ur stay at 7thgen.

ps...if anybody else has experience this same noise or similar please let me kno. thanks.
