Tranny is gonna blow

last month i had taken my car in to the dealer because somwhere in my motor i heard a chain rattling sound everytime i downshifted. they said it was nothing and that they 'couldnt duplicate the sound'. i shrugged my shoulders and left but as time passed the sound grew worse and so i took it to a honda specialist. he only had to drive it around the parking lot once and was able to tell me what the prob. was. Bad lower case transmission bearing. he mentioned my tranny will eventually blow. so i made an appointment for this morning to get it fixed since its still under warranty (32k mi BTW) and im really hoping that they will replace the whole tranny instead of rebuilding since i will be installing my turbo after all of this and i dont want to have to tear my car back to stock just so that they can fix my tranny again if the prob comes back. im really disappointed in honda though. i cant even rely on my CIVIC i thought they called them civics for a reason

Civic_RedLine will become famous soon enough
nice, make them replace your tranny. Im sure they will replace it if it is still under warranty. Good luck on your turbo!

hondas are still reliable. Just cause you have a bad bearing, doesnt mean your honda isnt reliable.

Also I highly doubt they will give you a new tranny. To replace the bearing probably will take them less then 5-7 hours, that is if a good tech works on it. Your tranny is still good, just a bad bearing.
