Rep Power: 0 I had this problem with my LX and the dealer replaced the center exhaust pipe with an updated part that is bent differently from the original. The noise has been gone since! They said it wasn't a service bulletin but was a "service newsletter" release.

Rep Power: 0 Apex'i N1 with custom pipes
the weird thing is that people with stock exhausts are having the same problems. that's why i'm wondering what the dealer would be repairing. reading about Pounds's b-pipe situation and hearing multiple solutions is making me wonder what the hell is the wrong with my car

Rep Power: 0 Even if that is so, I have a Magnaflow with custom pipes. I would think that if the pipes were custom-made that the same problems would not exist for my car. (LX Auto)
Is our engine a sealed block? I wonder if water could be hitting the engine or components since the front splashguards are not complete. Just a thought.

Rep Power: 0 like derek, i have the thermal cat back as well....
as of right now, i think im gonna go back to the stock pipe and just get an axle back exhaust
however i think i may have an idea...from what ive heard the reason for the vibration is the pipes getting wet and cooling very rapidly...is this what everyone else has drawn from this?
well how bout if we covered the b pipe (the one the dealer told me was causing the problem) with heat wrap..i know the sell it on a couple websites but have never heard any reviews...anyone used it?
oh and by the way...i had my stock exhaust on for about 9 months and never had this problem, then a magnaflow cat back for about a month (not sure if it rained in this time) but id never happened....

Rep Power: 0 as long as you have your oem b pipe (goes from cat to axle) then all you have to do is give it to them and they send it to honda and they send a new one back...thats where my problem lies...i got rid of my b pipe when i got my first exhaust....so if i get a new pipe then i have to pay for it, $168, funkin dealer is a rip off!
i dont think im gonna mess with the heat wrap stuff...just gonna get an oem pipe and HKS axle back exhaust....
anyone wanna buy a thermal cat back??

Rep Power: 274 Finally I Just went for OIL change few days ago and I complained about my brakes making too much noise.. I guess after the 3rd complaint they decided to do sumthing
the mechanic came out and told me it was the Master Cyclinder for the break ? whatever that is... So he said he would call me when that part came in ...
So I am going to Print that TSB and bring it in for them to fix it cause im sick of being scared to drive in the rain...

Rep Power: 274 OK I finally brought my car in for this problem....
I printed out the TSB showed it to the service manager...
He said He didn't know of the problem and that he would ask Honda blah blah and give me a call back...
I finally get the call back like weeeeks ! later ...
He ask me to come in ... I raises my car and goes this TSB says the vibration is comming from the pipe and makes in rattle and hit the car soo the car shakes...
But he said that my pipes are too far away for that to be happening.... He is just f*****g with me now...
He told me to come in when its raining and to drive it with him soo he can hear and feel the problem himself...
Sooo in the end ...
Wasting my time more
and
Honda service sucks
Oh ya forgot to add they dont believe me ....
Now what ..... And i bet when i bring it in the problem wont happen... knowing my damn luck ...

Rep Power: 0 So basically what I got out of reading most of these answers.
The exhaust is causing the problem, if you dont have an aftermarket exhaust, it maybe changed.
What if you did? Its just rubbing against something right? Should we move the exhaust if we could physically? Put some rubber things inbetween where it rubs and the bottom of the car?
this grumbling is just pissing me off!!
