Hondacare and TSB's

My '01 needs the headlight switch recall service - in additon I have the seat rock issue outlined and the TSB, a sqeak from the rear when the brake pedal is depressed, and I need them to put my front bumper flange back on.

I know they will charge me for the bumper flange but not sure about the seat rock TSB or the squeak - does Hondacare cover TSB's?

Ask and have it put in writing. These are goodwill judgments. As for the headlight recall, it will be covered ONLY if you were notified with the letter.

I just had two TSBs fixed on my car, and both were covered under Hondacare. I called them up, at the AHFC 800 number, and after being transferred around a few times, spoke to someone from the extended warranty claims division, and he told me it would be covered.

When I brought the car to the dealer, just to be sure, I asked the technical advisor to check if the repairs would be covered under the extended warranty, and then proceed... He called me a few hours later, told me that the extended warranty would cover it, and that the repairs were completed.

Extended Warranty = Best money I ever spent, especially since I got a new set of front shocks out of it. After labor and parts, the extended warranty more than paid for itself.

It should be covered; that's the whole reason you have warranty.
Extended or not, its still warranty.

I just don't know what my local dealer would do when I come in with all the TSB's I need checked and fixed.
They'll probably go nuts over all the free labor they got give me.
