Speedometer not Registering.
Ok well today is the first day I noticed this. On my way to school I noticed that when I slowed down to go 20mph for the school zone that my speedo would bounce up and down and not register. i thought that maybe it was because of the low speed, well apparently not. Today when i was coming home from school I noticed it wa still doing it. But it is through all speeds. I took it up to higher speeds to see if it would settle but no, it just became more unstable and jumpy. please help me if this is happend to you or you know what is wrong. Thanks.
Oh and btw, my car is a MY02 coupe Ex, Auto tranny w/ 19k miles on the car

speedo problem
Check the speedo pickup wire on the tranny, if the wire is connected then unbolt the speedo sensor and check to maek sure all the teeth are there. That should solve your problem.

Not sure if you understood that, but thats what I would do also
Open up your gauge cluster. Two screws on top of the bezel can be removed. Pull HARD, and take the bezel out. You will see three more screws in here. Take those three screws out. Then pull the gauge cluster out and toward you. There will be a blue and green plug. Make sure all of the wires in the blue and green plugs are attached securely.

Thanks for the advice guys! I have another problem now... later tonight driving home my check engine light came on. My tranny also feels like it is engaging late, kinda like that it is in the wrong gear... i think i am going to put on my stock intake and exhaust and take her to honda.

If it has 19K miles on it, just take it to the dealer and let warranty figure it out. Its probably got something to do with the speed sensor wire being loose or something silly, but it'll take a little time to track it down.
It's the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). It's mounted on the transmission. When the sensor fails, the car ECU goes into a pre-programmed safe mode. You'll also get a error code on the ECU. Thus your experience of drivability issue. You can still drive the car, but your power and shift point will be done in an open-loop fashion (more conservative) to protect the drivetrain from damage. The VSS part should be about $80-$100. It is a 30min - 1hr. job to replace.

Problem got worse. My tranny just spilt its blood all over my driveway... well yeah theres a hole in it... not really a hole, but it is where the vss is mounted... the damn thing shot out of the tranny. Well I can't drive it so I am going to have her towed to honda.
