Question RPM signal wire?

Is there an tach signal wire on the VP Civic 05?

I plan on getting the Cobalt Tach, but I also noticed a tach adapter that can be bought separately.

It's description says....

The 9117 Tach Adapter from Auto Meter allows vehicles without a standard tach signal wire to install a tachometer, shift light, or RPM signal switch (such as a rev limiter or N²O safety solenoid). Simply wire the 9117 to the positive 12V wire of your ignition coil, ground, and your tachometer. The Tach Adapter reads the current draw of your ignition system and provides a clean 12V square wave to your tachometer. Compatible with DIS, coil-on-plug, and most other 12V negative ground ignition systems. Not compatible with magneto type systems. Fully sealed case is imperveous to moisture and vibration. Includes illustrated installation instructions, mounting hardware, and wiring connectors.

Sure it does. Even if it's not in the cluster harness, and I bet it is, there is the tach signal to the ecu.

No worries.

tach wire is located behind the passenger headlight. its a blue wire somewhere in the loom near the battery. I needed it for my remote start on my Viper.
