2nd gear poppin out
when I made a long turn on second gear it usually pops out. A new clutch would probably fix that, but 2nd gear also grinds 50% of the time. A new clutch assembly wouldnt fix that right?
Im going to an exedy clutch and act flywheel set soon, so I want to know if it will fix it. If it wont fix it, I want to have a transmission ready so I can use a new tranny.
I dont want to buy a new clutch and flywheel set for my messed up tranny if it aint going to fix the 2nd gear grinding. Im pretty sure the synchros are messed from hard shifting. Only 2nd gear as of yet with 70k miles. Would I be able to put in a new clutch and flywheel for the tranny right now then down the road when I get a new tranny would I be able to take the clutch and flywheel out to put it in the new tranny?

Maybe this is it.. I took this out of TSB: sb626650 Shifts Stiff or Pops Out of Gear.pdf
SYMPTOM
The shift lever feels hard to move from gear to gear, or the manual transmission pops out of 2nd or 5th gear, usually during deceleration.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The shift cable end is corroded at the transmission, which causes a stiff feeling when shifting (this may also cause the transmission to pop out of gear). The clearance between the interlock and transmission case wall is too large, and 2nd or 5th gear tooth contact length is too short, causing the transmission to pop out of gear.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the cable bushings if corroded, or replace the transmission case housing, 1-2 shift fork, 2nd gear set, 1st gear, and 5th gear.
