electrical stuff won't shut off

When I turn the key off and take it out of the ignition, the daytime running lights, radio, and the interior heating fan stay on. All of the dummy lights go off though. I have a 98 Honda Civic. Please help.
P.S.- I'm not great with auto terms, so try not to lose me with the lingo.

My Dad's 91 Honda Accord Headlights stay on after the car has been shut off and he had to unplug the battery every night. One day, he ask a mechanic in a local gas station and the problem was a simple fix. Just ask around local, some will know and some won't.

I wasn't sure if it was an ignition problem and I wasn't too keen on replacing an ignition, so I was ready to bring it to the dealer to fix. But, you were 100% correct. It was a short and it was easy to figure out.
Thanks guys.
