Ending to Tranny Problem
Some of you know about the 2001 Civic 5 speed tranny problem; when 2nd and 5th gear will tend to pop out of gear. Well Honda finally agreed to fix it. I'm so happy. Took a lot of talking to one of their technicians but I'm finally gonna get it fix. Just thought you guys would want to know. I'm so happy now!!!!!!

Same thing happened to my friends 2002 Si. Luckily, since he bought his car used with an extended warranty, the dealership fixed it. It took them about 3 days to fix it. Something about replacing individual gears. I have no clue about trannys, but thats what he told me. He didnt need to get an entire new tranny, just new 2nd and 5th gear I believe.

Rep Power: 0 mine is having that same problem... but the problem is with 2nd gear and 4th gear.. i hate going to the dealership! is there any chance this is covered in the warranty or anything?
